Job Description:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform requirement gathering from Techno-business perspective from various stake holders in the customer environment.
  • Develop technical solution based on captured information
  • Conduct formal presentation of technical solution to techno-management of customers and other stake holders.
  • Define inter-dependencies and identify dependencies on various different stages of design deployment and implementations.
  • Guide technical implementation team on the approach and technical functions while performing the deployment.
  • Develop technical design deployment plans, assist project manager to build technical deployment oriented project plans.
  • Perform Quality assurance on technical project executions and implementation activities
  • Independently design and perform Proof of Concept, lead PoC activities conducted by other team members
  • Perform vendor product and solution evaluation on technical features as well as technical aspects
  • Perform comparative analysis on various technical solution in context of customer requirements.
  • Define and validate technical best practices for the technical engagement life cycle.
  • Attend vendor sessions and extract relevant information for knowledge transfer to rest of the team
  • Conduct knowledge transfer sessions for deployment projects, technologies and solutions.
  • Conduct and lead technical workshops with customers, peers and third-party vendors.
  • Develop High Level conceptual diagrams, connectivity diagrams, flow diagrams.
  • Develop low level detailed diagrams.

Soft Skills and Abilities:

  • Good interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills
  • Ability to produce Microsoft PowerPoint presentation to deliver designs and technical solutions to Techno-Management personnel (Head of technical departments, CXO).
  • Ability to lead technical discussions/workshops with internal teams, customers, vendors.
  • Conducts technical meetings, discussion and workshops with desired outcomes at the end of the meetings. Ability to write Minutes of meeting.
  • Ability to contribute and assess technical solution deployment project plans, with proven technical project planning and management experience.
  • Ability to share knowledge and educate the co-team members, partners, customers, with regard to the new business challenges, technologies and solutions.

Core Technical Skills:

  • Good knowledge of Networking concepts on various networking products, technologies and platforms which should include but not limited to Enterprise grade campus & WAN networks, Data center networks, virtualization and cloud networks (VMware, Azure, Openstack).
  • Good knowledge of Networking concepts on various networking and security technologies and products like Routers, switches, Firewalls, Intrusion Prevention Systems, Application Load Balancers, Web Application Firewalls, IPSec & SSL VPN products, Enterprise Wireless LAN products, Sandboxing products, WAN link load balancers and optimizers, Email Security products, Network Admission Control solutions (ISE).
  • Good understanding of Network & Security related products and solution in virtual
  • environments.
  • Strong understanding on value and impact of Network & Security solutions on business applications and business users.
  • Strong knowledge of hardware and software based product evaluation principles and practices
  • Thorough understanding of network & security related design troubleshooting
  • Field experience with business requirements gathering/analysis
  • Capturing and interpreting customer organization’s goals and objectives and develop a technical solution that aligns the goals and objectives.
  • Work with business stakeholders to identify emerging needs and investigate, propose, and present technical options for solutions to those problems
  • Be able to envision, lead development of, and implement appropriate frameworks to ensure that technical assets created across the enterprise maintain consistency in core areas
  • Strong skills on identifying and documenting Proof of Concept (PoC)/ Proof of Value (PoV) criteria for products and solutions evaluations for organization internal projects as well as for customers.
  • Working knowledge of IP Telephony, Contact center and voice gateway products and solutions and associated protocols.
  • Good understanding of security related protocols. (SSL, TLS, SSH, IPSec)

Qualification:

  • Must have B.E/B.S/M.S Academic qualification
  • Active CCIE in Routing & Switching or Security certification (LAB exam qualified) OR equivalent proven knowledge and experience.
