System Administrator

We are looking for a System Administrator to maintain, upgrade and manage our software, hardware and networks.

Resourcefulness is a necessary skill in this role. You should be able to diagnose and resolve problems quickly. You should also have the patience to communicate with a variety of interdisciplinary teams and users.

Your goal will be to ensure that our technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Computer Hardware & software installation and administration
•  Inspect and recommend appropriate installation of operating systems and ensure better optimization process.
•  Analyze and identify all technical problems and provide consultation and training to help all users.
• Assist users and provide Ubuntu, OSX, Windows and all mobile OS, printer and network break support.
• Analyze IT network systems and ensure compliance to all IT standard practices for job.
• Prepare and maintain all records and files in relation to IT assets, network performance and problems for all routers/switches, LAN and Linux servers.
• Assist users and communicate all IT policies to users and ensure user compliance.
• Develop and facilitate various initiatives to develop user compliance activities.
• Implement and ensure upkeep of daily backups.
• Set up accounts and workstations
• Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements
•  Troubleshoot issues and outages
• Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls
• Upgrade systems with new releases and models

KEY SKILLS

SPECIALIZATION

• Proven experience as a System Administrator or similar role
• BSc/Ba in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline; professional certification (e.g. Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)) is a plus
• MCP, MCITP, RHCSA or any relevant vendor certification.
• Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management
• Knowledge of system security and data backup/recovery
•  Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms
• Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong system and network troubleshooting skills.
• Good understanding of network protocols, design and operation
• Ability to architect and drive change
• A flexible team player with a proven ability to work successfully in a matrix-reporting environment.
• MUST have the profound knowledge about domain based environment.
• Willingness to travel
• Willingness to learn

TECHNICAL

• Technical Expertise, CCNA with hand on experience on Cisco Equipment
• Knowledge of VLAN.
• Linux Administration Experience (Ubuntu, CentOS, Debian etc)
• Windows Administration Experience with Windows Server 2008 and 2012
• Working experience with Apple Mac.
• Knowledge of Network Monitoring Tools both Windows and Linux based.
• Knowledge of Cabling, Patch panel, Switch Administration and Troubleshooting Techniques.
