Job Description: |
- Dealing with patients either telephonically or physically
- Signing off reports of Hematology, Parasitology and Chemistry Reports
- Information to the patients about the Panic Values
- Microscopy in Hematology section for CP slides, fluids, KOH, wet smears, Indian ink, gram stain, AFB stain, malarial parasites, trypanosome and PAP smears
- Microscopy in Parasitology section for Urine and stool slides
- Participation in Hematology and Parasitology sectional meetings.
- Take patients history for HB & Protein Electrophoresis, Histo & Cyto etc and fill the history forms
- Verification of Blood groups
- Mantoux Reading
- Chamber counting
- Guiding and supervising Techs working on the bench.
- Manual performance of PT, aPTT, fibrinogen, if required.
- Verifications of results in Hematology and Parasitology (Bence Jones Proteins, stool for reducing substances, pregnancy test, bile salts, stool for Occult blood, etc)
- Monitoring Clinitek daily maintenance
- Answering patient queries on reports
- Verifying tests performed manually by Technicians
